Terms of Service for Ferry Travel with Nautika
These Terms establish the policies that govern passenger travel with Nautika. Please review them before booking — they exist to keep every journey smooth and hassle-free, for you and for everyone else on board.
Key Policies and Passenger Responsibilities
Reporting and boarding
- Passengers should report at least 45 minutes before departure; boarding closes 20 minutes before departure.
- Photo ID is required for every passenger at port entry.
Tickets
- A ticket is valid only for the sailing it is booked on, and becomes invalid after that departure.
- Tickets are non-transferable and non-reroutable; rescheduling is subject to availability and applicable charges.
Baggage and prohibited items
- Personal baggage is limited to 20 kg, not exceeding 3 cubic feet.
- Knives, nail cutters, explosives, firearms, ammunition and similar items are prohibited on board.
- Passengers are responsible for their own valuables and personal belongings; the management is not responsible for theft, loss or damage.
Conduct and safety
- Alcohol and narcotics are strictly prohibited on board, as per Government of India guidelines.
- The company may prosecute, and recover damages from, passengers who cause damage to the ferry.
- Health declaration: the passenger warrants that they, their children and babies in arms have no major illness or ailment; the carrier is not responsible for the consequences of a pre-existing illness, and the passenger indemnifies the carrier.
Cancellations and rescheduling by the company
- A full refund is given if a sailing is cancelled for weather, technical or unforeseen reasons.
- The company reserves the right to reschedule sailings in line with official or emergency conditions.
Liability and jurisdiction
- The carrier is not liable for injury or illness not attributable to its own act, neglect or default.
- These terms are governed by Indian law; disputes and claims fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India.
